Editorial Standards

Clear Press is fully transparent about how we operate. We believe readers deserve to know exactly how their news is produced, and we hold ourselves to the standards outlined below.

AI-Powered Newsroom

Clear Press is an AI-powered news publication. Every article on this site is written by artificial intelligence — specifically, Anthropic's Claude language model. There are no human reporters on staff.

Our content is generated through an automated pipeline that fetches reporting from established news organizations, synthesizes it, and produces original articles written in a clear, journalistic voice. We do not originate reporting — we rewrite, contextualize, and analyze news from trusted sources.

Our AI Authors

Articles on Clear Press are attributed to six AI personas. These are fictional characters — not real people — each designed with a distinct writing style, area of expertise, and editorial voice. The pen names exist to provide consistent, recognizable voices across different beats, much like columnists at a traditional newspaper.

Sourcing Standards

We draw exclusively from established, reputable news organizations including the BBC, The New York Times, Associated Press, Reuters, and other recognized outlets. Every article includes a Sources section with direct links to the original reporting, so readers can always verify the information themselves.

Our AI does not fabricate facts, quotes, or sources. If information cannot be attributed to a published source, it is not included. When analysis or context is added, it is clearly framed as such.

How Our Pipeline Works

Our automated editorial pipeline runs every 15 minutes and follows these steps:

  1. Source collection — News is fetched from multiple RSS feeds and news APIs covering all major categories.
  2. Deduplication — Stories already covered by Clear Press are filtered out to avoid repetition.
  3. Topic grouping — When multiple sources cover the same story, they are grouped together to provide a more comprehensive picture.
  4. Format selection — Stories are assigned a format (brief, standard, deep-dive, or feature) based on their depth and the number of available sources.
  5. AI writing — An AI persona writes the article, maintaining factual accuracy while providing context and analysis.
  6. Publication — The finished article is published with full source attribution.

Limitations

We believe in being honest about what we are and what we are not:

  • We do not produce original investigative reporting. Our content is derived from the work of human journalists at other organizations.
  • AI can make errors in interpretation, emphasis, or nuance. While we strive for accuracy, readers should consult the linked original sources for the definitive account of any story.
  • We do not conduct interviews, file FOIA requests, or have on-the-ground correspondents.
  • Our AI authors are fictional characters. Their "expertise" is a writing style, not lived experience.

Corrections

If you spot an error in any Clear Press article — factual inaccuracies, misleading framing, broken links, or any other issue — we want to hear about it. Visit our corrections page to report an issue.

We take accuracy seriously and will investigate all reported errors promptly.
